Hogwasher 4.3

I am pleased to announce the immediate availability of Hogwasher 4.3, a universal release of Asar’s flagship newsreader.

Prominent changes:

- Universal binary
- New Dock icon and badging
- Persistent search sets with XPAT support
- NZB support
- New option to open multiple connections automatically
- Many bug fixes

This release is a free upgrade for all customers.

    Wow! Thanks for the update – I was wondering if there was ever going to be a new version.

    The new version didn’t seem to read my old old 4.2.2 preference files, but it’s no big deal to recreate.

    Thanks for the update – I had switched to Unison and hated it. I’m glad to be back with Hogwasher. One issue that has come up is the search feature in the browser. All I do is type a couple of letters and it starts the search eventhough I was not finished typing the search string and it will not allow me to finish or correct the typing. Also, the X next to the search box doesn’t seem to work. Overall I am very happy. It’s snappier than the old version on my 24″ iMac.

    I also noticed that the “x” next to the serch window does not work. Other than that, this program is great and it’s great to have it in UB.

    Yes, ssl is coming in the next release.
